Chancellor’s Update:
- The University has made tremendous strides since FY2007 in the amount of grant funding received. Jessica Long, Grant Development Specialist, was commended for her contributions in grant support and development.
- Ribbon Cutting for the FEMA building will be held Sept. 20. Clif Smart will be present at the ceremony.
Old Business:

- Chili cook-off, Oct. 7

Announcements:
- September 17th Athletics will sponsor a double elimination softball tournament. $100 per team, Faculty and Staff invited to play and encouraged to come watch. There will be a cook out free of charge.
- September 20th at 11:00 am there will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House for the Student Recreation Center/Emergency Shelter
- September 20th at 4:00 pm in Kellett Hall there will be a welcome reception for Missouri State University President Clif Smart
- September 24th the Non-Traditional Student Association will host a benefit concert in the Student Recreation Center/Emergency Shelter to aid tornado recovery efforts in Joplin. Armband tickets are $3 in advance and $5 at the door.
