Capital Projects:
- All parking lots have been resurfaced.
- Lybyer front entrance landscaping in progress.

- Missouri Hall (Post Office bldg.) – waiting to hear from state on funding.
Upcoming Events:

- Emily Gibson will represent the Staff Senate on the Campus Common Reader program. She is working on films and guest speakers for future activities and requests any ideas be brought to her attention.
Departmental Updates:
- Sherath: There is a new display case on the second floor of Melton Hall, in the open common area.
- Bronwen: Small Business Incubator information now available online. Our meeting began with a tour of the Incubator and information was provided.
- Mary Kellum: TRiO is still taking applications for students.

II. Old Business
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Mary provided Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Information sheets. They have a build coming up in September and looking for volunteers. Mary will get more details and report back to the group during the September meeting.
- Schedules will be updated and added to Staff Senate’s website.
Staff Dedication Wall:
- As of April, we have 11 individuals with 20 years of service that we need plaques for. The plaques are $15 each for a total of $165.00. We have $298.45 in the Staff Senate account. Grayson made a motion to use the Staff Senate funds to pay for the plaques. Mary seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Book Club Common Reader “Garbology”:
- Chulapol asked Grayson to head up the group and Grayson agreed. More discussions on when the group will meet and details at next meeting.
Gift Donations:
- Welcome Week gift bags can be dropped off at Chulapol’s office (T210) or left with the IT department, if he’s out of the office. We only have 2 weeks to donate items. The bookstore will provide bags.
III. New Business
Faculty/Staff Drop-in Potluck Luncheon:
- Friday, September 5th following the Staff Senate meeting (11:30 – 1:30) in Lybyer 103-105.
Convocation:
- Sunday, August 17 at 2pm in the Civic Center Theater – All are encouraged to attend, including staff.
Future Staff Senate Meeting:
- We may hold a meeting at the Shoe Factory Lofts and take a tour.
