I. Updates
Chancellor:
- Legislation still in discussions regarding our budget and the Gun Bills
- $500,000 Allied Plus Up has been moved to our Core
- Proposed bill to allow the MSU system to offer Doctoral programs without first gaining permission from Mizzou
- DOE Audit of Financial Aid, resulted in 7 findings. Research and documentation will be gathered to answer to the findings
- Basketball season is now complete and recruitment is underway for next season
- Diversity events have been well attended and everyone’s efforts are appreciated
- Red Carpet Days this semester yielded the highest number of attendees to date; Rachel Peterson added their surveys revealed a 99% satisfaction rating

Treasurer’s Report: $658.64
Admin Council: Annual Statewide Tornado Drill on March 15, 2016 at 1:30pm. All departments are asked to treat the drill as an actual event and seek shelter at their designated location.
II. Departmental Updates
IT (Grayson Gordon): Office 365 migration will take place next week; mobile devices will have to be updated; all faculty and staff are allowed 5 personal downloads on non-university devices. There is a new survey tool available; contact IT if you need to conduct an online survey. Officials with Photographic Services at the Springfield campus will be at Missouri State-West Plains from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, in T104-105 to take official photos of faculty and staff for their People Search web pages.
Career Development (Jared Cates): 14 students participated in Resume Madness; Teacher Placement Day was well represented and a good turnout.
Development (Eryn Walters): Auction tickets available to all faculty & staff at a discounted rate of $20 each (limit 2 per person).
III. Old Business
Volunteer Opportunities: Habitat for Humanity Home Show now has all of the volunteer slots filled
Nominations: Staff Senate has submitted all required nominations to Admin. Council
IV. New Business
Nomination for Faculty/Staff Emeritus: Dr. Herb Lunday; all in favor
V. Open Discussion: Going forward, part time staff will be invited to Staff Senate meetings but they will not be allowed to vote on proposals.
