Chancellor’s Update:

  • View the The State of the University address
  • Approved the winner of our campus chili cook-off’s entry fee to be paid by the University to enter in the citywide chili cook-off

$817.64 + Hurts Donuts money raised

Staff Senate Shirts:

Bruce will take our orders to the print shop Friday, Sept. 8

Reverse Evaluation:

  • Goals have been met
  • 2.5% budget increase allowed for tutoring program
  • Habitat For Humanity build went well and the store needs volunteers
  • Vickie Petkovic attended a mental health training; additional opportunities coming in the future
  • Practicum student will be on campus needing 75 hours in higher ed experience and can be utilized throughout the departments

University audit is in progress

State of the University Address:

Chancellor Search Committee:

Motion made, seconded and all in favor to nominate members of staff to be recommended for search committee and the nominations are:

  • Mary Kellum
  • Christina Kerley
  • Bruce Cavitt
  • Kris Brinkerhoff

Chili Cook-Off:

October 6th was agreed upon for the date, in conjunction with Lee Denim Days. The winner of the cook-off will get a paid entry into the citywide chili cook-off on February 3

Citizen’s Scholar Nominations:

Discussions on possible nominations. Laurie will follow-up.


  1. Benefit Fair Oct 11 Lybyer 104-105 at 11:00 AM
  2. Sept. 8 Free BBQ picnic to the first 500 people beginning at 5:00 PM and first home volleyball game immediately following
