As the Campus Safety Officer, my job is to walk around the campus every night when the Library is open. By the end of the first week, I had my routine down. I start at 7:15 p.m. and make my way around the buildings and the parking lots. It just so happen that I get to the Lybyer Technology Center about the time the sun sets each day (which is never the exact same time.) So one evening, while I was walking across Missouri Avenue, it dawned on me:
Missouri State-West Plains has the most beautiful sunsets.
I’ve been walking around these parts for the past few weeks and there hasn’t been a single night that there has not been a magnificent portrait at dusk. So with the spirit of documentation, I’ve started taking pictures of the sunsets. I have no idea what I’m going to do with them, but hey, I have them. The sunsets: yet another reason I’m glad I decided to attend Missouri State-West Plains.
