Old Time Music Festival

Volunteers are needed to help during the Old Time Music Festival June 2 and 3, 2017

Position:

Volunteers are needed for 21/2 hour shifts in various areas.

Schedule:

Work the Festival information booth(s) from 3-8 Friday and Saturday (inside and outside); Conduct surveys around the festival campus from 3-8 Friday and Saturday; Help registering attendees at the Quilt Show from 3-8 Friday and Saturday; Host our workshop sessions inside the Civic Center from 3-6 Friday and Saturday; Make trash runs (using a 4-wheel Mule) around the grounds from 5-10 Friday and Saturday; We can also use some help with set-up of the information booths from 10-2 on Friday

Twin Pines Conservation Center

Listing:

Family Fish Day - The public will join us at Twin Pines for a day of fishing, games, and fun activities. We provide lunch and give out prizes for the fish caught during that day.

Position:

Volunteer - Forms to participate as a volunteer are available at the Career Development Center, Looney 104

Skills:

We need volunteers to help that day with mending poles, baiting hooks, and showing new alglers how to fish, food, prep, games, setup, and tear down.

Twin Pines Conservation Center

Listing:

Wild Edibles - The public will learn how to identify and cook wild edibles that are found throught the Ozarks. They will begin with identification, go on a short walk to identify plants in the gardens and then return to cook their own wild edibles lunch..

Skills:

We use volunteers for the cooking portion to help make sure we have help where it is needed to move things in a timely manner.

Twin Pines Conservation Education Center

Listing:

Heritage Day - This is our biggest event of the year! We have craftsmen and presenters from all over the region come out for a day with the public to teach them about Ozark traditions and crafts. We have music, many presenters and a fish sry. We work hard to make thie entertaining and enlightening for all who come, and we are always needing extra hands to make this happen

Position:

Skills:

We use volunteers for setup, general help throughout the event and tear down.
