- Wear Grizzly Blue on Mondays and Game Days
- Yancey Walker and Paula Wiedemann have agreed that game day T-shirts would be a good way to promote the games
- Drago Bookstore will offer discounts tied to free throws and aces with proof of attendance
- Welcome Week Lunch Aug 20: sign up for care packages
- Chili Cook-off: MSU will pay the entrance fee for the winner of our cook-off to represent his/her chili in the City wide Chili Cook-off

- 8.8 Emeritus Status: Emeritus status may be granted to retiring staff and administrative employees as a special recognition for exemplary work performance and outstanding, loyal, and dedicated service to the University. To be eligible for consideration for Emeritus status, an employee must be in retirement status from the University, must have at least 10 years of service in a full-time regular position, and must have the approval of the appropriate administrative officials and the Board of Governors.

- New President Dr. Cofer coming to WP campus Aug 25 and October 12p: keep an eye out for more information
- Buried the lead: Karen Ryburn brought in $220,000 per year for the next five years by being awarded a TRIO grant. She’ll be making a presentation about how great this is next meeting.
- Future Hired Staff Benefits: Must contribute % of salary to retirement benefits, and not vested for ten years. New rules start on Jan 1, 2011.
- Back to school picnic: Aug 27 at 5:30. $5/person. $10/family. RSVP to Teresa Hensley, and bring a side dish or dessert and a lawn chair. Having fun is the name of the game!
- Our new tagline: New Beginnings…Endless Possibilities
