- Treasure report $243.3
- Annual Auction – Kathy Schloss – Will be held April 1st. We are asking for donations from everyone. March 1 is the deadline to have the description of your item to be included in the publication.
- Sponsorships are an option for donating. Sponsors get recognized in publications and get complimentary tickets to the auction. Volunteers are needed to work the event. Funds raised at the auction go toward purchasing property and a portion will go to the building of the Tuttle Amphitheater
- Raffle tickets are being sold for 1.00 each for a 50/50 raffle. The auction also has a website on facebook that is updated daily with descriptions of auction items.
- Granville Vaughn Nominations are due March 14th
- Joe Kammerer nominated Janette Grisham. Steve Norburd nominated Shawn and Tom Marhefka
- Possibility of new wellness benefits, using the urgent care clinic comparable to the Taylor Health for the Springfield campus. Possibility of adding Zumba classes as a wellness benefit
- New Employee – Darryll Hamsted is now working in the small business technology development center
What we accomplished last semester:
- SAAS: Janice Johnson – there have been lots of changes in SAAS. Tutoring has been moved to Melton 114. Alex Graham and Thor Broyles have moved their offices there. TRIO has moved to the old respiratory therapy building now renamed Garfield Hall. The former tutoring room has now been turned into a lounge for a veterans. SAAS still has the advisors and the testing center.
- Records and registration: Shanna Dale reports her department is trying to continue to be efficient with their limited funds. They have reduced mailing costs and are utilizating email systems. They are using a scanning and indexing system and it is going well. This is the 13th semester we have had a 1% increase in enrollment. We have 32% increase in transcript requests.
- Business Office: Cristina Kerley reported the Business office completed the move to Cass Hall and remained functional. This is our second year ulilizing Cashnet an online bill transfer system to make payments on line. We had a clean external audit and a clean p-cast audit. Our enrollment has increased but we also have an increase in bad debt. This is comparable to what we had before the student enrollment increased.
- Physical Plant: Ron Hensley reports that the Physical Plant department has been very busy moving offices this year. 80% of our time has been spent moving people and stuff. He reminded us to make sure to send work orders for jobs to ensure that jobs get done. We have hired a few part time workers to help with the cleaning.
- University Community: Brenda Malkowski reports that the pool being shut down cost $47,000. Attendance to the civic center was down 18% because of the pool shut down. Kids college is scheduled for July 11-14 this year. They have also been working on theater grants, bringing a ballet to the center and drawing in new acts to campus. We also have a new applicant tracking system Overall the civic center had 700 events held there last year.
- Information Technology: Sue Ingram reports that all of the office moving went well. They have hired more student assistants. The mail system has changed. The mail pick up and delivery has moved to the Broadway building as well as the postal meter. The tittle III imaging documents have reached 176,000 last year. They have been working on a server consolidation project as well as expanding the number of computers in Putnam and the think before you ink campaign.
