Call to Order:
- Grayson Gordon called the meeting to order.
Approval of Minutes:
- Darrell Hampsten made the motion. Joe Kammerer seconded. Motion carried.
Chancellor’s Update:
- College Express was held on Thursday, August 9. Around 18 potential students attended with 24 total in attendance.
- The Education Guarantee was explained to the staff in attendance. For full-time students in good standing, taking no more than 50 percent of courses online: If you have no more than two absences in each class, turn in all homework and assignments, visit with each of your instructors and your advisor outside of class and use our free tutoring at least three times for each of your classes, Missouri State University-West Plains guarantees you will be allowed (one time only) to retake the class(es) in which you received a ‘D’ or ‘F’ tuition free the next regular semester in which the course is offered – if you earn a term GPA less than 2.0. (Does not apply to Nursing and Respiratory Care degrees due to selective admissions criteria.)
- Aspen Institute Report will come out after Labor Day.
- Higher Ed Chronicle-Missouri State-West Plains did not make the Great Colleges to Work For list. The Admin Council will review the results.
- The Chancellor gave an update on Three Rivers Community College’s request to provide general ed courses in Willow Springs at the MODOT building.

Welcome Week Lunch
Any staff available to assist in putting sandwiches together for the Welcome Week lunch on Friday should meet in Putnam at 9:30 AM on Friday, August 17. We will meet at People’s Park at 11:30 AM on the same day. Staff are requested to provide a few welcome gifts for students. These gifts should come from personal funds, rather than departmental funds.

Personnel Searches:
- Scott Schneider provided updates to personnel searches. Krystal Stigler is the new assistant volleyball coach. The Instructor of Nursing position will be filled soon. The Administrative Assistant I position application deadline is August 17. The Grant Development Specialist position remains open.
- Several new faculty members have been hired: Karen Kwok, CFD instructor, Jacob Poullet, CGP instructor and Ana Estrella.

Constructions Updates:
Scott Schneider provided updates to the campus construction projects. Work on the Student Recreation Center punch-list still continues. The Melton 101 revamp is complete. Kellet Hall roof has some leaks and those should be repaired by the end of the month. Gohn Hall stone and brick will be going up soon.

Putnam Plastic
Putnam will be taking credit/debit cards within the week. $5 minimum. Small items will be available for purchase to assist patrons in meeting the minimum.
