I. Updates
Chancellor: Not present but reported by Mary; There will be new locks installed on all interior classrooms and offices and there are Allen wrenches available for use on the doors that need them.
Treasurer’s Report: No report given; no changes.
Administrative Council: AEL piloting new reading program; RCCA grant for Workforce Development; Attendance Tracking module up and running; Title III electronic equipment available to be checked out for use through Heath in IT; Development office is seeking year-end donations; Dec. 11 is “West Plains Night” for the Grizzly Basketball game; Jan. 23 is Trivia Night; Enrollment is up 2.6%; Two Volleyball players, Zori Curry and Susannah Kelley received All-American Honorable Mention; Book Buy-Back through Friday, Dec. 11; Be sure to lock doors to buildings if coming or going during the holiday break.
United Way: Our goal of $6,500 was surpassed. Unofficial total is $7,000.
Emergency Preparedness Round Table: Key points taken from the exercise: In the case of an active shooter on campus, if you are in a different bldg. than the shooter, it is best to vacate the premises/campus completely; If you are the initial caller to 911, do not disconnect the call; Silence your cell phone; There are two safety videos that all are encouraged to view (links provided):

Faculty Senate: Concerns regarding hostile intruders; Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life by Barbara Kingsolver has been chosen as the next common reader; Phil Howerton has a published book of poetry, History of Tree Roots; Attendance Tracking module was introduced.

Garnett Library (Sylvia): Shared Job & Career Accelerator bookmarks; Robert Williams, author of Billy’s War, will be the guest speaker at the Friends of the Garnett Library Luncheon on Friday, Dec. 11 at noon.
