As a two-year public institution, we provide accessible, affordable, and quality educational opportunities.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Call to Order<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Approval of Agenda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Approval of November Meeting Minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chancellor\u2019s Report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>President\u2019s Report<\/strong> (Trish Smith)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>That Friday Thing \u2013 ASCEND plans to host the next That Friday Thing sometime in February. The hours will be adjusted to be from 10:00 a.m. to noon, and snacks will be provided. They hope everyone can attend to see their new digs.<\/li>\n<li>Volunteer opportunities:<\/li>\n<li>Reached out to Birthday Blessings for dates that a group of staff volunteers can help out.<\/li>\n<li>Staff Senate welcome gifts for new employees:\n<ul>\n<li>Update from Trevor Cressman<\/li>\n<li>Please note that while everyone wants to welcome a new staff member, we won\u2019t be able to provide very much for very long if we don\u2019t get fundraising ideas and make them a reality. Several ideas have come in that we need to discuss:\n<ul>\n<li>A book of recipes titled \u201cGrizzly Campus Recipes\u201d filled with recipes from our staff members. We can have them printed and sell them.<\/li>\n<li>The crafty members of our community and staff members to create gift baskets or house d\u00e9cor (anything within their area of expertise), and we sell them. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.staffcouncil.txst.edu\/fundraising.html\">Texas State University<\/a> did something like this. We can sell them outright or do a silent auction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The next Administrative Council meeting is Wednesday, January 22. Please let me know if you have any questions or issues to bring before the Council. My extension is 57900, and my email address is <a href=\"mailto:WPStaffSenate@MissouriState.edu\">WPStaffSenate@MissouriState.edu<\/a>. All full-time faculty and full-time staff are invited to attend. Additionally, part-time staff (non-students) are invited.
