We were given an endowed scholarship by the Class of 1963; Govorner Nixon was on campus for the 50th Anniversary celebration on Monday; the Vaughns gave another endowed scholarship; census is up; we were voted 6th best 2-year college in the U.S.; we received a $2.5 million grant from the Department of Labor for Allied Health and Agri-business programs.<\/li>\n<li>Continue to report volunteer hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Construction\/Demolition Updates:<\/h3>\n<p>Dr. Bennett reported that the air conditioning in Gohn Hall is fixed.<\/p>\n<p>Personnel Searches:<\/p>\n<p>No new personnel searches.<\/p>\n<p><b> <\/b>Treasurer report:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current balance is $298.45<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>New Business:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>300 IDS students visited the library for orientation<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s not too late to sign up for the new voluntary benefits (vision, accident, major illness)<\/li>\n<li>Flu shots will be given in late Oct-early Nov.<\/li>\n<li>Enrollment for the Cafeteria Plan will begin in Oct.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t forget about your $400 preventative health benefit<\/li>\n<li>Lee Denim Days is coming up &#8211; Darrell will get the word out<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Important Dates\/Reminders:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biometrics screenings &#8211; Oct 2, Looney 203<\/li>\n<li>Friends of the Library Luncheon &#8211; Oct. 11, Program will be on Yonder Mountain by Anthony Priest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Adjournment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The meeting was adjourned by\u00a0Darrell Hampsten<\/li>\n<li>the next meeting will be 10:30 AM, Friday,\u00a0Oct 18th in the Cass Hall conference room<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Members Present: Kileen Collins, Lu Adams,\u00a0 Alyssa Collins,\u00a0Jill Stephens, Sofia Skinner, Darrell Hampsten Call to Order: Darrell Hampsten\u00a0called the meeting to order.
