AEL Session Schedule
FY26 (July 2025-June 2026)
Anyone interested in taking adult education and literacy classes for preparation to take the high school equivalency (HiSet or GED) must register in advance and complete an orientation. Orientations are two weeks BEFORE the sessions begin. Please fill out the intake form by the dates listed below.

Session 1-July 7-September 12- fill out intake form as soon as possible. Orientations are scheduled through June and July, so save your spot before they fill up!
Session 2-September 15-November 21-fill out intake form by August 28
Session 3-November 24-February 13- fill out intake form by November 6
Session 4-February 16-April 24 - fill out intake form by January 29
Session 5-April 27-June 30 - fill out intake form by April 9

Your local adult education and literacy (AEL) center offers you a second chance to have the future you’ve dreamed of by offering classes to help prepare you for the High School Equivalency Exam (HiSet).
We currently have class sites in the following towns: Ava, Doniphan, Gainesville, Hartville, Houston, Mountain Grove, Poplar Bluff, Salem, Thayer, West Plains and Willow Springs.
We also offer remote classes for mornings and evenings. Please ask about the specifics if this is something that might work better for you.
