Book Reviewers Needed
The books listed below are currently available for reviewing for Elder Mountain.
If you wish to review one of these books or wish to suggest a book for review, email me at philliphowerton@missouristate.edu.
Reviews should be 500-1000 words, confirm to MLA guidelines, and be forwarded as a Word document in an email attachment. Deadlines for reviews are 60 days after receiving book.
Occasionally we publish an expanded critique of 2000-2500 words in response to an especially influential book. See Blake Perkins’ “(Re)embracing Hill Mythology: A Critique of Hillbilly Elegy” as an example.
Reviews will be posted in the online version of Elder Mountain within two weeks following acceptance and editing and will also appear in the next hard copy volume of Elder Mountain.
This list will be updated regularly, so check back often.
