New Business:
Discussion of a plaque or some type of recognition for past Staff Senate officers was opened. We decided to give everyone an opportunity to consider the idea and will revisit it at the next meeting.
We asked the group to think about a new meeting time/location for the upcoming year. Or any other ideas to increase attendance.
We voted to work with the faculty senate on building the dedication wall for employees with 20 years of service.
Scott Schneider suggesed “Adopt-A-Highway” program as a possible staff senate activity. We tabled the discussion until Chulapol and Scott are present at a meeting.
Grayson opened a discussion about the lawn behind Cass Hall. We thought that it would be nice to spruce it up since it is a main entrance to the campus. One idea was to have some type of new signage there and perhaps a welcome center. This would have to be investigated for costs and inclusion in the Master Visioning Plan.
