Chancellor’s Report:
- Chancellor Lancaster was not present but asked Jared to report on his behalf; There are cookies from the Chancellor in Kellett Hall for all staff, first come, first served and he wished all a safe and happy holiday
Covid Response Team Update: Scott Schneider
- Rapid tests are available at Burton Creek for faculty, staff and students but you must be symptomatic and follow the process as outlined in the email from our WP Safety dept
- Saliva based tests will be available next semester
- Masking and Travel policies have been updated on the website
- Thanks to all that responded to the email regarding interest in a vaccine
- The CDC recommendations have been updated but we follow Howell County Health Department’s recommendations

o In January, they will present to the BOG, the proposal for tuition fee waivers enhancements to include an increase to credit hours for full-time staff, expand equal benefits to multiple dependents simultaneously during an academic year, extend eligibility to part-time staff, and an exchange program - Brenda Smith – Faculty Senate Chair
- o Closing out the semester and contacting students that have not yet registered for spring; Also, considering nominations for the Granvil Vaughn and Excellence in Educators awards
President’s Report:
- Admin Council Report
- $600 base pay increase, pending approval by the BOG
- Carol Silvey’s non-credit course
- Women in Leadership in the 20th Century
- May use the non-credit fee waiver to cover the $50 cost; email Alyssa if you are interested
- Course is scheduled to meet from 6-9pm each day, Jan 4, 6, & 7; Enrollment must be complete by 5pm on Dec 18
- Jeans: Staff may wear jeans with Grizz Gear and with supervisor approval during the week of Dec 14-18
- Granvil Vaughn Founders Award: Nominations were discussed and will be voted on during our January meeting
- Staff Senate Mugs/Welcome Packets: A sub-committee will be formed to gather more information
- Committee Updates:
- Grizzly Strong: Grizzly Country Banner / Grizzly Head stickers – a student is currently researching costs and gathering details for a presentation
- Grizzly Ambassador Program: Final draft of the GAP was distributed to AC on Dec 8 and they will review the details during their next meeting; more to come
- Food Pantry: Laurie Wall and Mike Scheidt are in Springfield today to tour the Bear Pantry and expect to present ideas during our January meeting

- HR:
- Missouri State-West Plains faculty and staff are only $81 away from goal of $6,000 for United Way campaign
- Free Virtual Mental Health Sessions
- 2021 payroll calendars are now available online
- Electronic W-2 tax statements are available with consent by January 1; if you have signed up previously, your selection is still active
- Business Office:
- Make sure you get invoices paid and to the business office ASAP, along with checking approvals daily and reviewing budgets
- IT:
- Upgrades to Grizzly Den will occur over the break
