-
- Snow and Remote work-productivity is possible with bad weather, and faculty have been doing remote learning due to the snow. Biggest concern has to do with 8-week schedule because each class = a week. Instructors have been flexible in helping students learn.
- BOG meeting on Friday – probably via Zoom and we are all encouraged to watch.
- Budget: President Smart will talk about budget plans. We have a flat appropriation from the Governor, there’s hopes for even more from the legislature, but unlikely. Enrollment is still a concern; do we budget based on flat enrollment, increased enrollment, or decreased enrollment? Got a $600 plus up on base salaries this year, so we have to plan for that next year too. Will have to budget for increases in pay if we get the opportunity.
- BOG will be approving AAS in community health support—mostly a mental health focus because BHC has asked us to help put people into the mental health pipeline. Department of Mental Health has championed this program, and the Gov has provided $50K in start up funds for this program. Will then move on to MDHE, and DWE for approval.

- LinkedIn Learning is part of the HR push towards more Prof Dev-goal is to get as many employees as possible auxiliary learning tools. This program could be used to curate and develop full trainings for faculty, staff, and students. Encourages us to activate our profiles and try it and use it in our departments as further development for employees and students. The departments that have used it have found success.
- HR is working with staff and faculty on enhancements to our benefits plans, like dental plans etc. Meeting with Medpay and Mercy etc. Looking at costing models for enhancements we can afford
- Wellness Incentive: Health Risk Assessment, Flu shot, biometrics used in the past. This year we are looking at using COVID vaccination as proof for the Wellness Incentive, but the EEOC is looking at wellness incentives adversely affecting protected classes, which is being worked out. Two possible models: COVID vaccine or a list of other options. Will report back in 90 days on what the 2021/2022 wellness incentive will be.
