Chancellor’s Report:
- Board of Governors is June 17 & 18. Mostly discussing budget and the across the board 3% salary adjustments. Committees are open to the public except the parts that are closed, and West Plains is the subject of the meeting. A couple of student apprentices are going to present about their experiences to the Board.
- We’ve received $1,000,000 for the Welding Lab, which will get underway in December in the Physical Plant, and hopefully will be ready for teaching by July 2022. In the meantime, welding classes will be taught at GOCAT.
- We’ve received the Governor’s Emergency Education Response/Excel grant to put in a lecture hall in Looney. Work is supposed to start in November.
- The Diversity Commons is underway; the dirt is down, and more is to come.
- A project that Dennis is working on is the Front Door Project, which will hopefully garner enough donations to create bigger and more permanent signage at Broadway and Missouri Ave indicating where the campus is.
