Chancellor’s Report

  • Enrollment holding steady pending dual credits – thanks to everyone’s hard work
  • Sept 9 at 11am Kellett Hall parking lot – Marvin Green room dedication
  • Sept 14 – Booster club picnic 5pm followed by the first home volleyball game
  • Sept 17 – First home softball games – 12pm – tailgate party begins at 10am – Hilburn Field
  • Sept 16 – Springfield staff ambassadors will be on campus

  • Parking Reminder
    • Admin Council would like to remind everyone that parking on the street around Hass-Darr creates a safety issue and we can avoid no parking signs being put up if we will police the issue ourselves; all employees are expected to purchase a parking permit
  • Volunteering Discussion Continued
    • October 15th – Always a Future For Kids Disc Golf Tournament – Needs a few volunteers – I’ll be emailing the volunteer list soon, please email me ASAP if you want to be on the volunteer list
    • Sept 17 Sadie Brown Graveyard Clean-up  9am -12pm
  • Self Defense classes on campus
    • Is there any interest – Poll results:
      • 34% No Interest
      • 38% Yes, if free
      • 28% Yes & willing to pay small fee

      • MOSERS Ready to Retire Seminar Oct. 5: MOSERS will host a retirement seminar from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 5 in Kellett 101. Representatives from the Missouri State Employees’ Retirement System (MOSERS) will present pertinent information concerning retirement benefits. The seminar is designed for MSEP and MSEP 2000 members who are considering retirement within the next five years. Refer to the attached flyer for registration instructions.
      • Employee Benefits Fair:  All full-time and part-time employees are invited to Missouri State University’s Benefits Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 in the Student Recreation Center. Employees will have the opportunity to meet with our various insurance and benefit providers.
