Chancellor’s Report
- Enrollment headcount down due to dual credit numbers being down; we do have more full-time students & more credit hours; strategy: providing programming students want, & more sports.
- Looking at more sports but not anticipating any new ones for 2 years with the exception of possibly a rodeo team; some interest has been expressed for adding men’s baseball, men’s & women’s soccer, and bowling

- It is again time for ADP processes to begin

- October 15th James Monroe Memorial Park (Formerly Buck Park) – Always a Future For Kids Disc Golf Tournament (Starts at 10am)– Needs a few volunteers anytime between 8 & 10am, during the tournament & cleanup around 2:30 or 3:00 – Bryan will be emailing the volunteer list soon, please email him ASAP if you want to be on the volunteer list – or you can just show up
- Always a Future For Kids is an organization started by students: proceeds from event will benefit CASA, Bridges, Birthday Blessings, Child Advocacy, etc…

- Cybersecurity Training
- Mandatory for all staff – emails went out last week – let IT know if you did not receive the email or need assistance – it is super important and you have 30 days to complete the training
- Chili Cook-off & Sweet Tea competition
- October 21 @ 11:30am – 1:30 pm in Hass Darr – if you win you are not required to enter the City Cook-Off; All will be judges – pay $5 for chili and $1 for tea & receive six tickets total – drop them in which ones you want to vote for

- Save Up to $360 on Your Annual Health Insurance Premiums! To reduce the impact of COVID and influenza on our workforce, the 2023 wellness incentive includes the following vaccination combination:
- COVID bi-valent booster (or original series if not previously completed, or previous booster) between Jan. 1, 2022, – Dec. 1, 2022; qualifies for $15 per month discount.
- Flu vaccination between Aug. 1, 2022, – Dec. 1, 2022; qualifies for $15 per month discount.

- Staff Excellence in University Service Awards: Do you know a coworker who has proven superior service to MSU-WP? Nominations are now being accepted for the Staff Excellence in University Service Awards. Staff, faculty, and administrators are encouraged to nominate full-time staff employees for this award. Nomination deadline: Friday, Nov. 11.
- The Staff Excellence in University Service Awards recognize excellence in service to the university among staff employees. University officials wish to recognize those staff employees who strive to do their jobs well daily, those who go above and beyond the call of duty in a special situation, and those who have contributed in a significant way to the success of the university. These awards are intended to provide incentives for continued workplace performance to full-time staff employees who evidence significant contributions to the university community. - Our next lunch and learn will be Nov. 7th, and guest speaker is Dr. Bill Meadows, MSU Depart of Sociology-Anthropology /Native American Studies. November is Indigenous People’s Month and Dr. Meadows will discuss the rich and diverse cultures, history, and traditions of Ozark Native Americans. I think this is going to be a very good lunch and learn.
- In December, we will be holding our first Women In Welding program, which is a 40-hour training for 10 women interested in a career in welding. After their training, they will be qualified for entry level employment in welding. This is a free training and flyers, and applications will be going out soon. We will also hold an additional training for 10 women in January.
- December 14th we will have another Lunch & Learn and our own Elizabeth Mahan will be discussing Holiday Stress!
