Chancellor’s Report
- Budget update: Expecting 5% increase to our budget but waiting for approval. Pres. Smart wishes to maximize compensation this coming year. Possibly a 5% across the board pay increase. More to come.
- Diversity & Inclusion – There has been a push back in language used by governmental entities, including higher education.
- ASCEND building groundbreaking expected in the fall.
- Softball team is doing well.
- E-sports team is going to the National Championships a week from Saturday.
- Thanks to all that helped with the MSHAA Solo and Ensemble District competition and the Interscholastic competition. They were both great opportunities for future students to visit our campus.

- The GAP team will be touring the Springfield campus tomorrow, Friday, April 14.
- ASCEND (Mikala King)
- Neurodiversity training – an email was sent to all staff with a link to view the webinar, for those that could not attend. A large foam board, art piece is currently in Lybyer for all to glue caps/lids onto the board. The plan is to move it to different locations around campus until it is filled.
