The Staff Senate serves as a liaison to administration as an advocate for staff welfare and productivity, in conjunction with the University’s mission, to support, improve, innovate, and promote academic excellence.

- We encourage supervisors to express gratitude to all employees in their respective areas.

- As a special “Thank You” from human resources, collector lapel pins and lanyards will be given to all full-time staff.
- To show his appreciation to all faculty and staff (full and part-time), Chancellor Lancaster is hosting an ice cream social on Friday, June 16 at 2:30 p.m. in the Carol Silvey Student Union.
- The campus will close at 3:00 p.m. on June 16, courtesy of President Smart. Issues related to essential personnel, time reporting and compensation for this closure are addressed in section 2.15 of the Employee Handbook.

- Cathy Boys will be holding a workshop on the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Exam Prep, June 20,22 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on both days. This will provide the student with information to prepare to take the exam to fly drones commercially in the US. This program has been approved for use of the non-credit fee waiver offered to all full-time faculty and staff.
- We will also be hosting a June painting workshop on June 27 from 6:30 – 8:30. Register online through Eventbrite or contact Sheila Barton to register. Tara Shahan will our instructor for this event.
