The Staff Senate serves as a liaison to administration as an advocate for staff welfare and productivity, in conjunction with the University’s mission to support, improve, innovate, and promote academic excellence.

- Volunteer opportunities:
- Birthday Blessings has group volunteer opportunities on the following weekday mornings:
- Monday
- Wednesday
- Friday
- If you are interested in volunteering, please let me know which weekday works best for you. I can put multiple groups together. All hands make a difference.
- The Interscholastic Competition is this Friday, April 11. We have at least 475 students coming to our campus. Volunteers are still needed. PLEASE sign-up to volunteer for this event if you have not already done so and are able to participate.

- Review two drafts of the cover. Select which one we want.
- We may have to raise the selling price from $20 to $25 as the book is 20-23 pages more than originally expected.
- As a reminder, the first order will be a quantity of 50-60.
- We will use Springfield print services to print the book.
- The first 27-32 books sold will reimburse the bookstore for the cost of printing. Every book sold past that will be staff senate funds.

- GAP will be visiting the Springfield campus on Friday, April 11.
- Garnett Library (Rebekah McKinney)
- The last Friends of the Garnett Library meeting for 2024-2025 is scheduled for Friday, May 2. Speakers will be Carla Neff, president of the Friends of the Garnett Library, and Rebekah McKinney, director of library services. They will give an annual report of the Friends and an update on the library. The meeting will be held in Garnett Library at noon. Lunch is $10, please RSVP to (417) 255-7940 or FriendsofGarnettLibrary@missouristate.edu by Monday, April 28.
