Approval of June Meeting Minutes

Chancellor’s Report (Zora Mulligan)

  • Excited to be here.
  • Goals given by President Williams:
    • Working on on-boarding (Getting to know the campus and community).
    • Developing a strategic plan for the WP campus.
    • Enrollment strategies.
    • Completion of state funded projects like the vet tech program.
    • Campus master plan (Physical buildings & infrastructure).

 President’s Report (Trevor Cressman)

  • Staff Emeritus Nomination – Vickie Driskell. The nomination was seconded by Vickie Petkovic and all approved.
  • Summer Scholars Recap – 18 High School, 65 Middle School (83 Students Total). Thank you to all that helped with the success.
  • The question was asked if the recent reports that Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe vetoed parts of the state budget, including additional funding for higher education that would have funded a 3% salary increase for employees in higher education has any repercussions to us? Trevor said no because the governor’s initial recommendation was 1.5%, we budgeted for that amount.

 President-Elect Report (N/A)

  • Looking for interest into being the President-Elect.
  • Will be reaching out to people in the next month.

 Secretary Report (Kileene Collins)

  • If you attended the Staff Senate Meeting in June (Last month), please send Kileene an email. We did not get attendance and need that for the minutes.

 Treasurer Report (Alex Graham)

  • $2,116.58

  • No reports this month.

 Department Reports

 

  • Human Resources (Alyssa Collins)
    • New Full Time Staff
      • Sara Branson – Director of Athletic Training & Wellness
      • Brie Brooks – Head Softball Coach
      • Joe Greenwood – Assistant Basketball Coach
    • GAP applications will be available next week, and more information will be available in Take Note.
    • The ADP process will be changing. More information will be available in a couple of months.
  • Assessment and Accreditation (Alex Graham)
    • Assessment Update
      • Newsletter – will come out every month. Send ideas for future newsletters to Alex.
      • Aug 11 prep for HLC accreditation. All invited. More information to come.
      • Alex provided an overview of Watermark regarding co-curricular and how it applies to staff.
    • Web and Media (Kris Brinkerhoff)
      • Review your web pages online and get them updated. Always enter a description of what changed before publishing your changes.
      • When adding a Calendar Event always choose the start and end time (do not check the All Day button for your events).
      • Need help? Contact KrisBrinkerhoff@MissouriState.edu
      • Training: Need to setup future Calendar Events based on past events? (Learn how to easily copy past events to future dates.)
    • Business Office (Barbie Mustion & Christina Kerley)
      • They are working to wrap up FY25 so please check your budgets and process any June invoices to the business office ASAP. If you received services and/or an invoice before the end of June, it must be processed out of FY25 budgets.
    • Institutional Research (Carrie Steen)
      • Carrie advised those who are meeting with students to make sure they are careful with their words and how they communicate about financial aid and the potential changes that could occur in the future, based on government regulations.
