Staff Senate Mission Statement: 

  • The Staff Senate serves as a liaison to administration as an advocate for staff welfare and productivity, in conjunction with the University’s mission to support, improve, innovate, and promote academic excellence.

    • Celebrate Employee Appreciation Week! 
      • Monday, June 15 
        • Show your MSU-WP pride by wearing your Grizzly Gear and joining us at the Smith-London Bell Tower at 4 p.m. for the annual faculty and staff group photo. 
      • Tuesday, June 16 
        • Recognize your colleagues by sharing photos and employee shout outs on social media using the official #GrizzlyShoutout hashtag. 
      • Wednesday, June 17 
        • As a special token of appreciation, human resources will distribute collector lapel pins to all full-time staff. 
      • Thursday, June 18 
        • Chancellor Mulligan invites all part-time and full-time employees to an ice cream social at 2 p.m. in the Carol Silvey Student Union. Join us for a sweet treat and an opportunity to connect with colleagues. 
        • To kick off the long weekend, employees will also enjoy an early release at 3 p.m., courtesy of President Biff Williams. 
      • Friday, June 19 
        • The University will be closed in observance of Juneteenth. We hope you enjoy the holiday and the extended weekend. 
    • Thank you for all you do to support our students, our mission, and each other. We look forward to celebrating with you throughout the week!
