Call to Order:

• Darrell Hampsten called the meeting to order.

Chancellor’s Update:

• Excellent week for MSU-WP;  the Gala was a big success. We were given an endowed scholarship by the Class of 1963; Govorner Nixon was on campus for the 50th Anniversary celebration on Monday; the Vaughns gave another endowed scholarship; census is up; we were voted 6th best 2-year college in the U.S.; we received a $2.5 million grant from the Department of Labor for Allied Health and Agri-business programs.
• Continue to report volunteer hours

Construction/Demolition Updates:

Dr. Bennett reported that the air conditioning in Gohn Hall is fixed.

Personnel Searches:

No new personnel searches.

Treasurer report:

• Current balance is $298.45

New Business:

• 300 IDS students visited the library for orientation
• It’s not too late to sign up for the new voluntary benefits (vision, accident, major illness)
• Flu shots will be given in late Oct-early Nov.
• Enrollment for the Cafeteria Plan will begin in Oct.
• Don’t forget about your $400 preventative health benefit
• Lee Denim Days is coming up – Darrell will get the word out

Important Dates/Reminders:

• Biometrics screenings – Oct 2, Looney 203
• Friends of the Library Luncheon – Oct. 11, Program will be on Yonder Mountain by Anthony Priest
