The Staff Senate serves as a liaison to administration as an advocate for staff welfare and productivity, in conjunction with the University’s mission, to support, improve, innovate and promote academic excellence.

- Employee Appreciation Luncheon: Our annual recognition ceremony will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 27, in the Magnolia room at the WP Civic Center. All full-time faculty, full-time staff, and part-time staff (non-students) are invited to attend; please arrange for department coverage. - Part-Time Employee of the Year: All full-time employees are encouraged to submit a nomination for the 2022 Part-Time Employee of the Year Award. Please review the attached information and submit nominations to Alyssa Collins, by email atAlyssaCollins@MissouriState.edu or hard copy at Kellett Hall 202 by Friday, January 13, 2023.
- Tax Information: W-2 Annual Wage and Tax Statements will be available in My Missouri State no later than Tuesday, January 31. Additionally, Missouri State University must furnish all full-time employees with a Form 1095-C with healthcare coverage information. Please visit the HR Blog for additional details.

- We are hosting the 2nd cohort of Women In Welding this week and look for an upcoming article in the Higher Ed Page in the Quill.
- We are hosting a one-day OSHA Forklift Training in February and this class is full.
- We are hosting the 2nd annual HS Senior Welding Competition on the 20th. We currently have 25 students from 4 school districts and we will again scholarship first, second and third place winners.
