Talent Shows and Walking

2014 July 2 by Benjamin Gilpin

Hello, I haven’t been on here in a while, but I will try my best to update you on some things I’ve seen.  Last Wednesday I attended a Talent Show that one of my friends had invited me to. The show was exactly that a show. There were the hosts who would come in and say funny things to keep the ball rolling. There were judges and of course the contestants. Oh, and I forgot to mention that it was all in Chinese. Each contestant had twenty minutes to introduce themselves and do there talent. Most did exactly that, twenty minutes to the letter so it took a long time. Most of the acts were that of music, which most were good at. Walking sure felt good after sitting for so long at the Talent Show. On the campus there is a Football(Soccer) Field, which many people use at night to walk around and do exercise. I believe that there are usually about 100-200 people there every night unless the weather is bad. Walking at night is actually really nice because the weather is cool and refreshing as you walk. Seeing this kind of activity in America would not happen unless it was a Walk-A-Thon. So there are differences when it comes to simple stuff to.
