The Staff Senate serves as a liaison to administration as an advocate for staff welfare and productivity, in conjunction with the University’s mission to support, improve, innovate, and promote academic excellence.

• There were no submissions from Staff for the 2024-2025 Granvil Vaughan Award or the Honorary Degree.

• Input on That Friday Thing last Friday. Was there a good turnout?

• Volunteer opportunities:
  • Birthday Blessings has group volunteer opportunities on the following weekday mornings:
    • Monday
    • Wednesday
    • Friday
  • If you are interested in volunteering, please let me know which weekday works best for you. I can put multiple groups together. All hands make a difference.

• Staff Senate welcome gifts for new employees:
  • “Grizzly Campus Recipes” cookbook:
    • We received two quotes for printing the cookbooks:

      • Springfield print services – $542.20 ($10.844 per book)
      • WP Daily Quill – $750.00 ($15.00 per book)

• • • After discussing with Wayne Cahoj, the initial thought is to sell the books for $20. The first 27-32 books sold will reimburse the bookstore for the cost of printing. Every book sold past that will be staff senate funds.
