- An update was given on the progress on the Hass-Darr building. Projected completion date is still currently August, but no guarantees.
- Aug. 18 Move-in day at the Grizzly House and Lofts. Volunteers are needed.
- Questions and Answers:
- Q: What are we currently doing to get students who may have been enrolled in spring but are not returning?
A: Student Advisement, TRiO and other departments are currently reaching out to students who have not yet returned.
Q: How can we learn more about the GOCAT Program and will more of the GOCAT Programs become accredited.
A: One way you can learn more is by attending the Open House scheduled tonight. We are working with the appropriate entities to make sure that the new programs that are eligible become accredited and become financial aid authorized where eligible.
Q: Are you concerned about OTC sending representatives into our area to recruit
A: Howell County is part of OTC’s territory as a community college.
Q: Why do we budget a flat enrollment when we know there could be a loss based on High School attendance.
A: We always want to budget based on what we expect our enrollment to be. This year we expected our enrollment to be level. All data should be taken into consideration when budgeting for the new year and will be sure to do so in any future budget planning.
Q: Where will offices from CASS hall go?
A: At this time there will be no changes to where people currently in Cass Hall will go. Admissions will be moving to Hass Darr Hall and the other Offices will move to Kellett Hall.
