- Q & A
- If Springfield shuts down, does that mean we will automatically as well? No. They may go to all online classes but will not shut down. Shutting down is not an option for us if it can be avoided.
- Will the university provide disinfecting wipes? This was discussed in our meeting yesterday and we are looking into that. Contact Scott.
- Should we cancel our vacations? Use good judgement but keep in mind if you travel outside of the US, you will not be able to come back and if you do, the university may insist on a specified quarantine time.
- What should we do about our International students? Our suggestion is to keep them here. If they do go home, they will not able to return.
- What about cancelling university events? We will be reviewing that and discussing in more meetings to come.
- With spring break being next week, what about student workers? As of now, it’s okay to let them continue to work.
- Are there self-reporting steps in place if someone has and does travel? Will be discussed in more meetings to come.
- Q & A
- Will provide an update on our Administrative Council retreat next month.

- Event Planning – Spring BBQ (Mike Scheidt)
- Based on survey results, the event will be May 15 from 5:30 – 7:30pm at the Amphitheater (Lybyer 104-105 in the case of weather).
- At this time, there will be no competition. Only potluck, unless more people voice their desire to provide BBQ for a competition; there was not enough interest expressed in the survey.
- Sign-ups will begin May 1; all full-time and part-time faculty & staff are invited.
- Monetary donations will be welcome.
- Food Pantry – (Laurie Wall)
- Committee met with Springfield’s Bear Pantry and got a lot of good ideas.
- Plan to send out a survey to see if there is a real need for a food pantry on campus before we go any further.
- If we decide to proceed, it will be brought to Faculty Senate about partnering with us.
