In Attendance: Vickie Petkovic, Kileene Collins, Sophia Skinner, Trish Smith, Mel Steele, Nancy Leeper, Pam Tate, Carrie Steen, Tara Shahan, Alexandra Graham, Alyssa Collins, Barbie Mustion, Luke Hurtt, Christina Kerley, Alex Cochran, Kristi Huff, Wayne Cahoj, Julie Dulaney, Trace Winfrey, Biff Bird, Marcus Cook, Jennifer Walker, Deana Bell, Kelly Becker, Douglas Cooley, Michelle Bryan, Mikala King, Joan Wright, Mike Scheidt, and Kelley Towell.

Approval of Agenda – Motion to approve agenda, seconded, and motion carried.

Approval of March Meeting Minutes – Motion to approve the June 8, 2023, meeting minutes, seconded, and motion carried

Chancellor’s Report – out of office, no report

  • Jason McCollom, Faculty Senate Chair – Glad to be joining our meetings and looking forward to working with staff.

President’s Report (Vickie Petkovic)

  • President Elect Nomination: Trish Smith, accepted.
    • Motion carried.
  • Upcoming poll for interest in volunteer/service opportunities:
    • Vickie asked for ideas on ways we can fulfil our mission statement, through individual or group projects. Please email her with thoughts as well as volunteer or service opportunities.
  • Administrative Council will not meet next week because many members are going to be on vacation. The next meeting will be July 25.

President Elect Report (position vacant) – Trish Smith was voted in today.

Secretary Report (Kileene Collins) – no report

Treasurer Report (Alex Graham) – $1,790.39

      • Grizzly Ambassador Program: The GAP (Grizzly Ambassadors Program) application for the 2023-2024 cohort will be available next week!
      • Enhanced Vacation Leave Policy: We are excited to announce the enhanced vacation policy for our full-time non-exempt employees. The updated accrual summary is available in the HR
      • HR Live Session: Student Employees – Addressing Workplace Issues and Job Performance:This HR Live session is designed to provide guidance and information on supervising student employees and addressing workplace issues. If you have supervisory responsibility (disciplinary) or if you have oversight on work activities and work schedules in the department for student employees as an administrative assistant, this session is for you. Presenters are Patrick Hurn, associate director for HR, and Paula Wilhelm, assistant HR director – performance management for HR. Two Zoom sessions are scheduled for July 19: 9 to 10 a.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. Please register online through My Learning Connection.
      • HR In-Person Session: Student Employees: July 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Kellett 101. More information will be provided in Take Note.
      • Credit Course Fee Waiver: There is a glitch in the system so please contact Alyssa if you submitted one for summer.
    • Student Life and Development (Luke Hurtt)
      • Welcome Week 2023 – First week of fall classes, Aug 21. Please encourage students to attend. Staff/Faculty volunteers welcome. Email Luke if interested in helping. Schedule will be shared soon.
    • Workforce Development (Sheila Barton)
      • BBQ 101 Workshop, facilitated by Douglas Cooley, is July 18. Grilled treats will be provided.
      • FAA Part 107 Workshop for Commercial Drones, facilitated by Cathy Boys, is August 1 and 3.
      • Our next paint workshop, facilitated by Tara Shahan is August 5.  We are painting tote bags and you can choose either Fab Flamingo or Girls Trip.  This should be really fun.
      • We will be adding a night welding program and are recruiting for a night welding instructor. This is an exciting time for expansion of our programs. If you know anyone who might be interested, please have them complete the online application and/or contact Sheila for more information.
      • Trevor Cressman is the new Assistant Director of Workforce Development. He will begin on July 17. His phone number will be 255-7788; his office will be in the PACE Industrial Science Center.
